It was much mellowed duchess who arrived in India in January , her first visit to the country, in search of real sarah. The visit was planned in secrecy; Apparently even the British high commissioner in Delhi was not informed.

She flew into the capital with three female companions and then on to Bangalore. and surrendered herself into the care of Dr. Issac Mathai, the promoter of International holistic health center, a multinational project that seeks to integrate complimentary therapies.

The duchess is in fact so pleased with her experience in Bangalore that she has agreed to be the adviser and international spokes-person for the Holistic Center. That`s good news for the doctor.

Sarah: I like the smell of India

FERGIE breezed into the longue of her Oberoi hotel suite in Bangalore, her red hair blazing over the melancholy-rimmed azure eyes. agreeing graciously for an exclusive interview. She signalled to Dr. Issac Mathai Noornal to call his wife and daughter for a photo session .

Excerpts from the first interview the duchess granted to an Indian Journalist.

Question: Is your Indian visit to India a spiritual quest or is it a way of staying on course-life on auto-pilot?

Answer: I a`m a helicopter pilot, you know, That is far as auto piloting goes. I`m in Bangalore to check out on the International Holistic Health Center and it offers to a person`s body and soul. Yes it is spiritual quest , too, I suppose.

How did you manage to sneak in, evading the paparazzi?

I was lucky, perhaps and it is far too distant.

Now that you had Holistic treatment, what is your perception about alternative healing methods?

We were on the homeopathic system at home for long time. My grand mother , who died in December, was a homeopathic practitioner. As children, we were given Arnica for colds and other ailments. Over here you learn about different ways of helping a person to wholeness an harmony of body, mind and spirit.

you have put on weight in spite of your outdoor life, romping with the colts?

Yes, Its a symptom rather than actual fat. Fat is the result of the symptoms that you carrying yourself. Hence the reason to come to India: to find out more ways of helping oneself. It is about having a fit mind body and soul.

And in India I had this Incredible welcome. They are treating me as a human being, not as a well known face. That is a lovely feeling.

I`ve seen very little of India, but from what I have seen, I love the people their smiling faces. They are open and friendly. driving through Delhi I saw mounted guards on camels And I love to see all the colours. All the women in their wonderful fashions. It`s a great inspiration. However I think an awful lot of work needs to be done for the people in the street. There is a lot of poverty, a lot of sadness, and hope to return one day and help the people. I will come back with my own foundation, the children in crisis.

You have been to the Himalayas with a group of disabled climbers. You came up to napile and India was so close.

Yes, i was coming closer to India. I love it's mysticism. I like the smile of it's flowers, especially that of a Jasmine. I like the smile of India. I am going back from this trip with the feeling that i am a different person altogether.

Will there be a sequel to my story?

Lets talk about India and Holistic Medicine.

for someone who has been here for only a few days what more can you speak about India.?

About the spiritual quest. I'm seeking harmony and peace so that I will be able to give more love and compassion.
